Common questions

Asked, honestly.

Any previous ultrasound or blood test reports, your last menstrual period (LMP) date, current medication list and any prior pregnancy records. If you have no reports yet, that is completely fine — we will do all baseline investigations here.

Not always. Some C-sections are planned based on clear medical reasons such as a previous uterine scar, placenta position or breech presentation. Others are emergency decisions made during labour when the safety of mother or baby requires it. Dr. Patel always explains his recommendation clearly before any decision is made.

Yes — high-risk obstetric management is one of Dr. Patel's core areas of practice. Conditions including gestational diabetes, hypertension, twin pregnancies, placenta praevia and pre-eclampsia are managed with additional monitoring and more frequent consultations.

Yes. A paediatrician is on call for every delivery — routine and high-risk. Newborn assessment is done within minutes of birth and is part of our standard protocol before any discharge.

Ideally between 6 and 10 weeks of pregnancy. We also welcome you at any later stage. If you are planning a pregnancy, a pre-conception consultation is available and highly recommended.
